What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is just one of over 100 cannabinoids that are identified in the cannabis plant. Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a compound that interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system – a series of native receptors that promote homeostasis, or equilibrium.
Does CBD Get Me High?
CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid. In other words, it doesn’t get you high.
Instead, it’s thought to work with other elements in the body linked to feelings of well-being.
CBD vs THC
CBD (cannabidiol) and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) are the most common cannabinoids found in cannabis products. THC and CBD are in both marijuana and hemp. Marijuana contains much more THC than hemp, while hemp has a lot of CBD.
